Summer Swim Camp



Summer Day Camp for kids ages 3-7. This program is offered Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am till noon. This program consists of two swim lessons, a group activity and a mid-morning snack. There is a limit of 24 participants in the program as to meet our strict swim school guidelines of 4 children maximum per instructor. Your child will receive two thirty minute swim lessons with one of our amazing swim instructors in our warm water pools! This is an amazing program for parents looking to build their child’s confidence and comfort in and around water. We will run this camp for six weeks and each week will have a different theme and discovery, sign-up for one or all!

Summer Swim Club for youth ages 6-14. This program is a brand new offering based on parent requests and will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday starting 1-3pm. If your child enjoys swimming or if you are hoping to develop your child’s strokes, this is a great program. Join for one week or for all nine weeks!

Cost of this program is $30 a day or $100 for all four days!

SWIM SCHOOL
 

Michael Phelps Skill Center is proud to offer Michael Phelps Swimming (MPS), a learn-to-swim program for ALL ages and abilities! Swim classes include personal safety, stroke development, water sports and games, personal growth, and rescue skills. The top priority of the Michael Phelps Swimming curriculum is to insure that each participant has an opportunity to become comfortable, confident and safe in and around the water.

 

Michael Phelps Swimming is in over 15 locations throughout the US and, in collaboration with the Michael Phelps Foundation, is the official learn-to-swim program of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Special Olympics International. To date, Michael Phelps Swimming has instructed over 15,000 participants.

 

We offer group lessons, semi-private and private lessons.

Group Lessons Are $80 For Four 30 Minute Classes or you can purchase a Swim School Membership for $60 Monthly. 

 

Get Wet | 6mo - 3 years

Get Wet is a parent and child class for children three years of age and younger (exceptions are made for older children). While focusing on water comfort, games, and relaxing in a warm water environment, parents are encouraged to challenge each child's skills and level of comfort in the water. Continually under the guidance of a competent instructor, the emphasis in Get Wet is on fun in the water!

Pre-Beginner I | 3-4 years

Pre-Beginner is our first class without parental involvement. Children must have reached the age of three to enroll in this level. The emphasis in Pre-Beginner is on basic water skills such as assisted and unassisted floating, blowing bubbles and retrieving items from the bottom of a shallow (3 foot) area. Listening to instructions and working within a group are stressed along with important water safety lessons. Pre-Beginner includes games and activities that build confidence while increasing the child’s comfort and feel for the water. Finally, children will become comfortable swimming under the water. Pre-Beginner has two age divisions; the skills covered in the two divisions are identical.

It is anticipated that children will remain in this level for multiple sessions, as the skills to be mastered are quite broad and varied.

Beginner has two age divisions; the skills covered in the two divisions are identical.

Intermediate | 5 years +

The Intermediate is the highest level of group instruction. Intermediate swimmers can swim for a distance unaided. Additionally, these swimmers demonstrate comfortable rotary breathing with freestyle, a competent backstroke, and a feel for the water. The fundamentals of breastroke and butterfly are reinforced. These children will work to improve their skills so they can swim several laps of each stroke with confidence.
